MIKEL NILSSON

Mikel is a very interesting and talented artist. He has studied three years at art schools and three years at HDK where he studied design. While he was studying he also worked with building installations in various nightclubs in Gothenburg. Meanwhile, he also worked extensively as an illustrator and graphic designer. After graduation he began working with Uniforms for the Dedicated where he still works with concept, artwork for t-shirts and set design to photography and music video. The most inspiring works, he has received from Uniforms for the dedicated, where he has made a mural inside the PUB in Stockholm, installations in the VIP area at the Arvika Festival, at SOLO in Gothenburg & Stockholm and the Forum during the Fashion Week in Copenhagen. 

Mikel often works from his own fantasies and dreams, but reconnects almost always to the grays and realistic everyday life. He also works frequently with the contrast between the naive and intellectuals, the realistic and the surreal and the dark heavy faced by the bright light-hearted.
