MALIN BERGSTRÖM

Malin Bergström (b. 1980) is a Swedish-based artist and illustrator. She creates collages that suggest they might run parallel with the natural world, but not necessarily intersect. Heavily inspired by astronomy, geometry, vector spaces, linear spaces and matrices, her work often comes out of experimentation with shapes and textures. While Malin sets up systems, this series of work resemble abstract representations of the complexity of our own galaxy and parallel worlds.

Besides attending University College of Arts Crafts and Design, Stockholm, Malin was trained in illustration and printmaking at Parsons School of Design, New York.
