Lisa Billvik is an artist, illustrator and fashion designer based in Stockholm, Sweden. Her images depict almost a surreal world in which different features like patterns and details meets. Everyday objects, elements from nature and animals often accompany the characters in the images. The viewer is confronted with a direct gaze from the illustrated independent women and dandy men. Thin pencil lines, red lips and coloured details combined with pleats, patterns and structure. Lisa Billvik is inspired by humanity, identity, life stories and the fact how different events can create nuances into different contexts. Her images are a narrative of the spectrum between fantasy and reality.
Lisa Billvik graduated from Beckmans College of Design in Stockholm 2007 and the same year she received the Swedish Fashion Council scholarship for her graduation project 'Parallel dialog'. She has exhibited her works at galleries around Sweden and her works can be seen in publications worldwide.
